How I can help
Having been a teacher for 25 years I understand the system and the anxiety that this environment can generate - for students, staff and parents. I regularly speak at headteacher conferences highlighting these issues and how I can offer support.
I was the first mindfulness coach in the SE of England to pilot the Mindfulness In Schools Project and deliver a selection of packages to many schools across Hertfordshire. I also run very successful exam preparation courses in preparation for GCSEs and A levels.
Schools have been awarded the Carnegie Mental Health award under my direction and I work with the whole school community - children, staff and parents. Some schools have now allocated a specific budget towards the mindfulness work I do with them with many others using pupil premium or parent associations to help fund the programmes.

Mindfulness can be used to empower all children to take control of their emotional life, which in turn can affect their learning capabilities. It helps children who are struggling with pressures such as exams, peers, relationships with teachers and body image as well as children who are seemingly ‘doing OK’...and so it's seen as being of benefit to ALL children, rather than being targeted at specific groups.
