How can I help individuals?

 

After an initial assessment I help develop a selection of strategies depending on what you feel your issues are. In the past I have seen a positive impact on things such as sleep, reactive behaviour, anxiety (both general and specific) and feelings of being bullied (in various settings – home, school and workplace). I suggest around 3 or 4 sessions in order to build up a toolkit of techniques.

How do I help In schools? 

 

The programmes were put together by a team of UK teachers who also study and practice mindfulness. I was lucky enough to be part of the pilot programme and was the first to introduce these sessions across a range of primary and secondary schools in Hertfordshire.

 

Each of the sessions teaches a distinct mindfulness skill, designed in such a way that young minds find visually and practically engaging.

 Both programmes are taught with striking, modern visuals, amusing film clips relevant to children’s everyday life and activities which really bring mindfulness to life. Through doing the engaging practices, the children can really “feel” it on a personal level and in so doing come away with a sense of empowerment and confidence which can be applied to their everyday lives.

 

The .b curriculum is composed of nine one hour sessions - aimed at ages 11-16.

The paws .b curriculum is composed of six sessions - aimed at ages 7-11. Each session lasts around 45 minutes.

The MiSP (Mindfulness in Schools Project) has been positively evaluated by Cambridge University and Oxford Brookes and is being rolled out to all ages in a range of learning environments.

How can I help in corporate settings?

Did you know that in 2019-2020 17.9 million work days were lost due to work-related stress?*

 

 The benefits of workplace mindfulness have been shown to increase productivity through employers and employees strengthening parts of the brain responsible for focus and reasoning as well as the ability to develop greater empathy and responsive (as opposed to reactive) behaviour.

I deliver a range of packages depending on what HR have highlighted. These can include a six week package with a specific group of employees, one day workshops with both employers and employees, or working 1:1 with individuals who are struggling within the workplace setting.
